Guru Purnima is the day of the full moon which falls in the Hindu month of Ashadh (that lies between June - July). According to Hindu tradition, Guru Purnima is celebrated as the birthday of Sage Vyasa Muni. It is a day for celebration and worship offered to the spiritual masters and lineage of Gurus. But when the dust from the feet of a satpurush (God-realized Guru) sprinkles on our heads, then we can surely attain this knowledge."
