The eight manifestations of Goddess Lakshmi.Ashta Lakshmi (अष्टलक्ष्मी) are manifestations of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. It is said that these manifestations preside over eight sources of wealth which are prosperity, good health, knowledge, strength, progeny, and power. Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, fortune, power, luxury, beauty, fertility, and auspiciousness. She holds the promise of material fulfilment and contentment. She is described as restless, whimsical yet maternal, with her arms raised to bless and to grant.
As per texts there are eight incarnations of Goddess Lakshmi. Shree Aadi lakshmi, Shree Dhanya Lakshmi, Shree Dhairya Lakshmi, Shree Gaj Lakshmi, Shree Santaan Lakshmi, Shree Vijay Lakshmi, Shree Vidya Lakshmi, Shree Dhana Lakshmi.

Goddess Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth, richness and prosperity. It is quite well known that Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped to gain wealth.  Apart from money there are other things also which is bestowed by Goddess Lakshmi. Wealth comes in the form of money, vehicles, prosperity, courage, patience, health, knowledge and children. The eight manifestations of Goddess Lakshmi represent good health, knowledge, power, prosperity, progeny, courage, confidence and much more.
One of the prayers known as the Shri Ashta Lakshmi Stotram lists the eight manifestations of Goddess Lakshmi, depicted as being seated on a beautiful lotus flower.

Beautiful goddess seated on a chariot Delighted by songs on lustful elephants, 
Bedecked with lotuses, pearls and gems, 
Lustrous as fire, radiant as gold,
Resplendent as the sun, calm as the moon, 
Mistress of cows and horses — Take away poverty and misfortune 
Bring joy, riches, harvest and children. 
The eight forms of Ashta-Lakshmi:
Aadi-Lakshmi - the primal mother goddess
Dhana Lakshmi - goddess of material wealth
Dhanya Lakhsmi - goddess of good harvest and grains
Gaja Lakshmi - goddess of power and strength
Santana Lakshmi - goddess of off-springs and progeny
Veera-Lakshmi or Dhairya Lakshmi (The Goddess of Valor and Courage)
Vidya Lakshmi - goddess of education
Vijaya-Lakshmi or Jaya Lakshmi (The Goddess of Victory)

Aadi-Lakshmi - the primal mother goddess .The Great Goddess
She is the Wealth of endless prosperity. Goddess of no beginnings or end: “Adi” means eternal existence. Adi Lakshmi signifies the never-ending nature of the Goddess. She has no start and no end. She is continuous. Wealth should therefore, flow continuously also. It too has always been there and always will be there.
Adi Lakshmi or Rama Lakshmi serving Sri Narayana is symbolic of her serving the whole creation. Adi Lakshmi and Narayana are not two different entities but one only. Lakshmi is Shakti. Lakshmi is the Power of Narayana. Adi Lakshmi is the memory of the source. When we forget that we are a part of the entire creation, we feel small and insecure.
Adi Lakshmi is that aspect which connects us to our source, thus bringing strength and calmness to the mind. Goddess Adi Lakshmi is four-armed, carries a lotus and a white flag, other two arms in Abhaya mudra and varada mudra.
Adi-Lakshmi or Maha Lakshmi Adi-Lakshmi also known as Maha-Lakshmi or “The Great Lakshmi is a first form of Goddess Lakshmi. She is daughter of sage Bhrigu and wife of Lord Vishnu or Narayana. Aadi-Lakshmi is often depicted as the consort of Narayana living with him at his home in Vaikuntha.

Dhan Lakshmi | Dhana lakshmi (The Goddess of Prosperity and Wealth)
She symbolises material wealth, prosperity and fortune. She is also worshipped for luxury, relinquishing courage and blissful life.Goddess Dhana Lakshmi is Six-armed, Draped in red Saree, carries chakra (discus), shankha (conch), kalasha (water pitcher with mango leaves and a coconut on it) or Amrita kumbha (a pitcher containing Amrita – elixir of life), bow-arrow, a lotus and an arm in abhaya mudra with gold coins falling from it.
Everyone knows about Dhan Lakshmi. Also known as Vaibhav Lakshmi. “Dhan” and “Vaibhav” mean money, riches, fortune and income. It is the usual way we perceive and understand wealth. This wealth is of great importance to one who wishes to live an enriched and happy life.Respect wealth, use it properly, then wealth becomes Lakshmi. Worship her like Lakshmi. It is said that Lakshmi is very fickle, that is, she keeps moving. So make good use of money.

Dhanya Lakshmi | Dhanya lakshmi
Dhanya Lakshmi (Sanskrit: धान्य लक्ष्मी, Dhǎnya Lakshmi, “Lakshmi as goddess of grain”) is the giver of agricultural wealth. Wealth of grain, food, nourishment, and health: “Dhanya” means grain. Food is our most basic and most important wealth. We need food to sustain life. Being wealthy means we have abundance of food that keeps us nourished and healthy. She is the Goddess of the Harvest and the Devi who blesses with abundance and success in harvest.

It is said that we become what we eat. The right amount and the right type of food, eaten at the right time and place affects our body and mind positively. With the grace of mother Dhanya Lakshmi one gets all essential nutrients grains, fruits, vegetables and other foods.Goddess Dhanya Lakshmi is eight-armed, in green garments, carries two lotuses, gada (mace), paddy crop, sugarcane, bananas, other two hands in abhaya mudra and varada mudra.Do not waste food or spoil it. Many times they throw more than half of what is made of food and do not even give it to others. Do not do this. Dhanya Lakshmi is to respect food. 

The third of the eight forms of Ashta-Lakshmi is named after Dhanya or food grains, full of natural nutrients and minerals required for a healthy body and mind. On one hand, Dhanya-Lakshmi is the giver of agricultural wealth and, on the other, the all-important nourishment for human beings.

With her divine grace, one can be ensured an abundance of food all year-round. Dhanya-Lakshmi is shown adorned in green garments and with eight hands carrying two lotuses, a mace, a sheaf of paddy, sugarcane, and bananas. The other two hands are in abhaya mudra and varada mudra.

Gaja Lakshmi 

Gaja Lakshmi (Sanskrit: गज लक्ष्मी, Gaja Lakshmi, “Elephant Lakshmi”) is the giver of animal wealth, like cattle and elephants. Swami Chidananda interprets Gaja Lakshmi as giver of power of royalty. According to Hindu mythology, Gaja Lakshmi brought back the wealth lost by Indra (king of demi-gods) from the ocean.Gaj' means elephant.It is believed that this form of Goddess Lakshmi helped Indra to regain His kingdom from the depth of the ocean. She is also depicted wirth four arms, two of her hands carry two lotuses and the other two are in Abhaya and Varada mudra.

The Goddess with Gajas or elephants is the most common form where in two tuskers are seen on either side of the goddess pouring water from their trunks over the goddess. This signifies the very aspect of Lakshmi like prosperity, good luck, and abundance.Sage Vyasa writes that Lakshmi came out of the ocean during the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan). So she is known as a daughter of the ocean. She came out of the ocean sitting on a full-bloomed lotus and also having lotus flowers in both hands with two elephants by her sides holding beautiful vessels.

Santan Lakshmi

Santana Lakshmi (Sanskrit: सन्तान लक्ष्मी, Santāna Lakshmi, “Progeny Lakshmi”) is the Bestower of offspring. Wealth of children, legacy, family, friends, well wishers: “Santan” means children. Goddess Lakshmi symbolizes the social nature of man. We need each other. Children are our wealth. They are our future. The family is the basic unit of people who bring up their children. Life moves forward through its children.'Santan' means children. Santan Lakshmi is the Goddess of progeny and bestower of children. Children are our wealth and the basic unit of a family. So, Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped in the form of Santan Lakshmi to beget children and continue the name of the family. She is depicted carrying a baby in one of her hands, the other hand is in Abhaya mudra and carries a pasha, a sword, and two Kalash in the other hands.
Those who worship this particular form of Sri Lakshmi, known as a Santan Lakshmi, are bestowed with the grace of mother Lakshmi and have wealth in the form of desirable children with good health & long life.

Dhairya Lakshmi
She is worshipped for courage and strength. She is depicted as having eight arms and wears a red sari. With Dhairya patience Lakshmi, life can progress or else it cannot. Whether in business or in job. 

Wealth of patience, strategy, planning, objectivity : “Dhairya” means patience. This wealth gives us the spiritual strength to face good and bad times with equal ease. It signifies the importance of planning and strategy in all our actions so we may move with caution and reach our target each time.

Education does not only mean knowledge gained from schools or colleges, but also qualities acquired from experience like serenity, absence of vanity, sincerity, adaptability, humility, nobility, magnanimity, charity, equanimity, fixity, simplicity, purity, generosity, regularity, integrity and charity.
Vidya Lakshmi (Sanskrit: विद्या लक्ष्मी, Vidyā Lakshmi, “Knowledge Lakshmi”) is the bestower of knowledge of arts and sciences. Wealth of education, knowledge, skills: “Vidya” means knowledge. To be knowledgeable means that we have skills of various kinds. We have general information about our local, national, and international issues.
'Vidya' means knowledge. To acquire all kinds of knowledge and skills, one must devotedly worship Vidya Lakshmi. She is depicted having six arms, two of her hands in Abhaya and Varada mudra and carrying Shankh, Chakra, bow and arrow and a Kalash in the other four hands.
