From a scientific perspective, Shaligrams are ancient marine fossils known as Ammonites, formed millions of years ago. Over time, these fossils became embedded in the Himalayan region and are now found in the holy Kali Gandaki River. While science explains their geological origin, devotees worship them as the eternal and self-manifested form of Lord Vishnu.
