Pakeezah Diya

This artistic oval shaped Diya is called “Pakeezah diya” meaning “pure at heart”. This diya is widely used in puja ceremonies as it burns for long consuming less ghee or oil.

A lamp (diya) symbolises knowledge. An ignorant person would often remain in dark and wouldn’t be able to keep a check on the events happening around him. It is only when he feels the need to gain some knowledge that he will realise the purpose of his existence. And hence in this case, a diya/jyot signifies the removal of ignorance through knowledge.

Design: Made of thick brass with long lasting finish. It has a holder in the center to put long cotton wicks.
Brass is well known for its grasping capacity. It grasps the divine spirit upto 30%, when compared to other metals. The spiritual vibrations are attracted towards these shining idols easily.
