Maa Shailaputri is the first form of Goddess Durga, worshipped on the first day of Navratri. Her name means "Daughter of the Mountain," symbolizing strength, stability, and purity. As the embodiment of Goddess Parvati in her purest form, she blesses devotees with spiritual awakening, patience, and determination. Therefore the wise will meditate on some form, remembering, however, that the form is a superimposition and not a reality."
