A beautiful Pair of Nag Nagin (Snake) made in german silver. According to Puranic scriptures, Brahma's son Kashyapa had four wives. The first wife gave birth to Devas; the second to Garudas; the third to Nagas (snakes); and the fourth to Daityas.

Our ancients believed that Lord Subrahmanya will come to bless us in the form of a snake. So, they used to worship snakes to respect the god and avoid any problems. In ancient times, people used to go to the ant hills, usually the home for snakes. After cleaning the surroundings, laying garlands, puja was performed to please the snake inside. They used to bound a turmeric thread around the snake's home. Then milk was poured inside the hill and eggs were put for the snake to eat. Next day, the worshippers would come back to take the sacred thread and tie it to their hands.

Nag Panchami day is very auspicious to do pooja for serpents (Nag) and to remove Kaal Sarpa dosha in kundali. Nag Panchmi festival is celebrated throughout India and falls on the fifth day of the moonlit fortnight of the month of Sravana, which falls in the month of July or August. As per the legend, Lord Krishna, had saved the lives of people from the harassment and evil deeds of Naag Kaliya, by conquering him on this day.
