Modak Crown (Mukut) is the traditional symbolic form of headgear for God and Goddess. It represents power, legitimacy, victory, triumph, honour, and glory, as well as immortality, righteousness, and resurrection.
Modak, sweet balls, is one of the most important offerings made to Lord Ganesha. It is said that any offering to Ganesh is incomplete without the Modaks. There is an interesting story in the Padma Purana regarding why Ganesha loves Modak.
This Mukut is studded with artificial gemstones in center with attached string for adjustment of the crown on the deity head.
