Kanku Pagla Rumal to Collect Footprint Handprint Memories

"Kanku Pagla" is a traditional ritual in Gujarati and some other Indian cultures where a new bride dips her feet in a mixture of kumkum (vermilion) and water, then walks across a white cloth, leaving red footprints. These footprints symbolize the arrival of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, into the house.
