This tirupati balaji idol is made from natural shaligram stone which is found in sacred river gandaki in nepal.

Lord Vishnu has self manifested and resided here (Tirupati) as Lord Venkateswara. It is believed that Lord Balaji will reside here for the entire Kali Yuga.
