Akshat in german silver

Akshat grains made of pure german silver are used as an offering to the deities during puja rituals. They are durable. After offering to the deities, they are disposed in flowing water or in a pond.
Akshat is offered to the Divine as a symbol of never ending abundance. Akshat in Sanskrit means 'that which cannot be destroyed'. Just as these rice grains, the spirit in me is indestructible, remembering this we offer the akshatas.
