Snanam Abhishek Set of Shri Neelkanth Swaminarayan Bhagwan

Very auspicious Abhishek Set of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan, this set contains Lord Swaminarayan idol, & Abhishek Tray made in brass and Glass & Sombu Kalash made in copper, natural abhishek (right hand) Shankh. This tray can be used for bathing and worshipping Lord Swaminarayan. Its broad central part, light weight and broad water exit makes it easy to use.

Abhishek (Snanam) is a sacred Vedic tradition by pouring water, milk, or panchamrut on murtis. While pouring the liquid, devotees generally chant mantras, offer prayers, or sing bhajans. Devotees pray to God and ask for a sankalp, or wish, as a form of blessings for doing the abhishek. In ancient times, people performed abhishek by dipping kush, or darbha grass, in water and then sprinkling it on the murti. Pramukh Swami Maharaj has revived this tradition by installing a Nilkanth Varni abhishek murti in many BAPS mandirs around the world.

The shankha is a sacred emblem used as a trumpet in Hindu ritual,and in the past was used as a war trumpet.The shankha is praised in Hindu scriptures as a giver of fame,longevity and prosperity, the cleanser of sin and the abode of Lakshmi, who is the goddess of wealth and consort of Vishnu. The shankha is displayed in Hindu art in association with Vishnu.As a symbol of water,it is associated with female fertility and serpents (Nagas).
