Abhishek (Snanam) is a sacred Vedic tradition by pouring water, milk, or panchamrut on murtis. While pouring the liquid, devotees generally chant mantras, offer prayers, or sing bhajans. Devotees pray to God and ask for a sankalp, or wish, as a form of blessings for doing the abhishek. In ancient times, people performed abhishek by dipping kush, or darbha grass, in water and then sprinkling it on the murti. Pramukh Swami Maharaj has revived this tradition by installing a Nilkanth Varni abhishek murti in many BAPS mandirs around the world.

Uses of Right Hand Shankh:
•Sprinkling water during Aarti.
•For offering Gangajal.
•For offering Pachamrit bath to the deities.

The shankha is a sacred emblem used as a trumpet in Hindu ritual, and in the past was used as a war trumpet. The shankha is praised in Hindu scriptures as a giver of fame, longevity and prosperity, the cleanser of sin and the abode of Lakshmi, who is the goddess of wealth and consort of Vishnu. The shankha is displayed in Hindu art in association with Vishnu. As a symbol of water,it is associated with female fertility and serpents (Nagas).

The Snanam Abhishek Set features a Lord Swaminarayan idol crafted from durable materials, while the Abhishek Tray is made from a combination of brass and glass. Additionally, the Sombu Kalash is constructed from copper, and the natural abhishek shankh is designed for traditional rituals. These materials ensure both aesthetic appeal and longevity for your worship practices.

The Abhishek Tray is designed with a broad central part and a lightweight structure, making it easy to handle during rituals. You can use it to bathe the idol with water, milk, or panchamrut while chanting mantras or singing bhajans. The tray's broad water exit also facilitates a smooth flow during the abhishek, enhancing your worship experience.

The right hand shankh included in this set is a sacred emblem in Hindu rituals, often used for sprinkling water during Aarti or offering Gangajal. It plays a vital role in the abhishek ceremony, allowing devotees to perform the ritual with authenticity and devotion. Using the shankh adds a traditional touch to your worship, connecting you to ancient practices.

The Abhishek Tray has an outer dimension of approximately 7.5 inches in height and 9 inches in diameter, making it suitable for various altar sizes. The idol stands at about 2.9 inches tall, allowing it to fit comfortably on most puja spaces. Ensure you choose a clean and respectful area for placement to enhance your worship environment.

To maintain the Snanam Abhishek Set, regularly clean the brass and glass components with a soft cloth to prevent tarnishing and ensure a polished appearance. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the materials. Additionally, store the set in a dry place when not in use to preserve its quality and longevity for your worship rituals.
