Sri Krishna Bhagwan is a Hindu deity. This Statue is handcrafted in brass with antic finish. He is one of the incarnation of Vedic Supreme God Vishnu or Narayana.

He is the son of Devaki (Mother) and Vasudeva (Father). Lord Vishnu is the protector of this world and hence his incarnation as Krishna was meant to eradicate the evil forces, to restore the 'Dharma' and to liberate the people from their sufferings. In Hindu mythology Lord Krishna has been described as a role model in his various stages of life right from his birth. As an infant he was very naughty yet loving and fond of eating fresh butter. As a young boy he played flute and was very popular among boys and girls of his age. He used to play pranks with his friends. As a youthful prince he was a model lover, an enchanter of women. Lord Krishna has many names that highlight his attributes. Common ones are - Gopala - Protector of Cows, Murlidhar - The one who keeps a flute, Krishna - One who is 'dark' refers to color of his skin. Across India and world, people worship Krishna in his various age groups, as a naughty kid calling him as Bal-Gopal. As a young and flute playing prince surrounded with cows and women who used to get attarcted to his mannerism, charms and flute, as the Lord Vishnu himself and more. Krishna can be very easily identified by his way of presentations. A dark skinned, most oftenly dark blue, prince wearing a yellow clothings, a crown with peacock feather in it, with a flute in his hands near his lips. In this statue he is seen in his signature pose, relaxing and playing the flute. In this form, he usually stands with one leg bent in front of the other and raises a flute to his lips, known as Tribhangi Mudra. Tribhangi means having three curves, hence the name of this brass sculpture is Krishna Tribhangi.

Importance of Idol worship: Idols are not the idle fancies of sculptors, but shining channels through which the heart of the devotee is attracted to and flows towards God. Though the image is worshipped, the devotee feels the presence of the Lord in it and pours out his devotion unto it. Regular worship, Puja and other modes of demonstrating our inner feeling of recognition of Divinity in the idol unveils the Divinity latent in it. This is truly a wonder and a miracle. The picture comes to life. The idol speaks. It will answer your questions and solve your problems. The God in you has the power to awaken the latent Divinity in the idol. The lives of Mirabai, Sant Tukaram, Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Shri Yogananda are a few instances to prove the point. They proved beyond doubt that idol worship has its own brighter side and through simple faith and intense devotion one can realize God through it.

Idols are the "finite representation of the Infinite".  As per Vishnu Samhita (ch 29, v 55-7), persuasively endorses the use of imagery (idols) and puts it: "Without a form how can God be mediated upon? If (He is) without any form, where will the mind fix itself? When there is nothing for the mind to attach itself to, it will slip away from meditation or will glide into a state of slumber. Therefore the wise will meditate on some form, remembering, however, that the form is a superimposition and not a reality."
