Face of Protective from Evil Kirti Mukha for Home Office Entrance Door
SKU: VV827
Kirtimukha, meaning "Face of Glory," is a fierce and grotesque figure commonly found in Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain temple architecture, often placed above doorways and
arches as a guardian symbol. Its origin comes from the Shiva Purana, where Lord Shiva, in his wrath, created a terrifying being to consume the arrogant messenger Rahu. When Rahu pleaded for mercy, Shiva commanded the being to devour itself, leaving only its face, which became Kirtimukha.
