Saptashrungi Gadh is a Hindu pilgrimage site near Vani, Nashik, Maharashtra. The name Sapta stands for Seven and Shrunga for Peaks. Thus, the temple is surrounded by seven hills. Saptashrungi temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India.The goddess is described as ashta-bhuja (eight-armed)was gifted various weapons to slay Mahishasura.She holds differnts weapons in her arms as the trishula (trident) of Shiva, the sudarshana chakra of Vishnu, the shankha , the flames of the fire, the bow and arrow, the vajra and ghanta (bell) , Danda (cudgel) , akshamala , kamandalu , the rays of the sun-god Surya, the sword and shield of Kali, the parashu (axe) of Vishvakarma, the wine-cup of Kubera, gada (mace), lotus, lance and pasha.Mata is also known as Brahmasvarupini ("one who has form of Brahma") & appeared from the kamandalu (water-pot) of the creator-god Brahma.

Nine forms of Durga, are nine manifestations of Goddess Durga in Hinduism, especially worshiped during Navratri and Durga Puja. Each of the nine manifested forms are separately venerated for a night during the festival. It adds to the mystical feel of the Patanjali sculpture. Patanjali's lower half of his body is enveloped in the thick folds of the 7 headed serpents' body. The large hood of the snake houses 7 serpent heads that shadow the figure of Patanjali. Patanjali has four arms two of which are pressed together in front of his chest in the standard position of greeting. In his other two hands he holds a conch and discus, two weapons associated with Lord Vishnu. The carving of the sculpture is defined and beautiful!

Bhairava sometimes known as Kala Bhairava, is a Hindu deity, a fierce manifestation of Shiva associated with annihilation. He is often depicted with frowning, angry eyes, sharp, tiger's teeth and flaming hair. He is naked except for garlands of skulls and a coiled snake around his neck. In his four hands, he carries a noose, trident, drum, and skull. He is often shown accompanied by a dog.

Rama, prince of Ayodhya, won the hand of the beautiful princess Sita (seen here), but was exiled with her and his brother Laksmana for 14 years through the plotting of his stepmother. In the forest Sita was abducted by Ravana, and Rama gathered an army of monkeys headed by Hanuman and bears to search for her. The allies attacked Lanka, killed Ravana, and rescued Sita.
